MPS National Scrapbook Day Challenge #9

My last challenge!  I can't believe I did them ALL!!!  My Pink Stamper challenge 9:

Challenge #9--Use Glitz, Glam and Glitter in your project!

I never use glitter!  It gets everywhere!  I love my boys and so I decided to make a simple (I'm exhausted) page with some bling hearts!  I cut the hearts from George And Basic Shapes.  Then added Martha Stewart glitter to the hearts.  I think it turned out simple and sweet.

My Pink Stamper Challenge 12:

Challenge #12--Make a Scrapbook Page, Card, or other with a Kid's theme!

I'm getting VERY tired!!  Although, I'm enjoying memory lane with my pictures!  I found these when my son took a bath without the baby bath!  At the time he LOVED Elmo so I busted out my Sesame Street cartridge!  I got ahead of myself and journaled before I took the picture, but I covered most of it up!  I'm beginning to get less creative!  I beginning to get sad that he's 4 now!

Challenge #10--Make a layout or card with a pet in it!

I used the Four Legged Friends lite cartridge and I think I cut it at 3.5".  (They all starting to run together)  I then added googly eyes and stickles!!  The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper stamps!

My Pink Stamper's 8th challenge:

Challenge #8--Make a summer themed project!

I found this picture from when my son was 2 years old and just had to scrap it!  This was when he first started wearing his Daddy's sunglasses and he thought he was SO cool!  I love the surf board paper!  He's getting too big, too fast!

MPS National Scrapbook Day Challenge #6

My Pink Stamper's challenge 6:

Challenge #6--Incorporate a TAG into your project!

This one just turned into a baby card!  Have you ever started a project without really knowing which direction it was going to go?  Well, that's this card!  I pick out the tag and then built from there.  It makes for a card that could really be generic!

I'm having to play catch-up since my weekend was packed with family events!  My Pink Stamper's Challenge 3:

Challenge #3--Make a card, scrapbook page, or 3-D item with a breast cancer theme.  You can use a ribbon, make it pink, whatever you'd like.

I wanted to make this some what different.  I cut everything from Pink Journey cartridge with a little manipulation through the gypsy.  I think it turned out adorable!

I made another Mother's Day card for another co-worker's mother!  I'm popular at my work when it's holiday/birthday time! LOL!  I literally pulled this paper from my scraps!  I love it when I can do that!  I then added a black ribbon and some pink and black glitter flowers.  She loved it!!

MPS National Scrapbook Day Challenge #7

For Robyn's, My Pink Stamper, 7th challenge we need to:

Challenge #7--Make a Scrapbook Page!

I made a two-page spread in memory of my father.  This year, in February, was the 15 year anniversary of his death.  This was also the first year that I took my son with me to the Peace Officers' Memorial. (He was named after my father)  I let him place his own rose on the memorial this year.

We then took him to where my father's ashes were spread.  (He's in his favorite lake along with his mother's ashes)  Snow was just beginning to melt from the recent snowstorm so the road was closed to the dam, exact place where the ashes were spread, so we placed roses in the water (one for me, my mother, and my son).  On our way out from the dam, we saw a beautiful doe and I just had to snap pictures.  It was a very somber moment with my family and one I will cherish forever.

Enough of the sob story!  Since he was a police officer killed in the line of duty, I cut the police badge from Everyday Paperdolls at fit to page.  I cut his badge number from Old West, not sure what size. I then placed a black ribbon, similar to the black band worn on officers' badges when a brother has fallen, across the numbers.  I think it turned out sweet!

MPS National Scrapbook Day Challenge #5

Challenge 5 from My Pink Stamper is:

Challenge #5- Any 3-D item OR if that is too much of a challenge then add a 3-D item on your scrapbook page or card!

I decided to make a Mother's Day card for a co-worker's Mother-in-Law.  I used pink tulle for my ribbon.  I thought the colors (from my scraps) went together great!  I then added these new 3D butterflies I purchased at Michael's.  Simple and sweet!

Teachers' Easter Treat Bags

Unfortunately, I had a very bad case of the flu during the week of Easter.  Luckily, I prepared treat bags for my son's teachers early!  I used the seasonal cartridge Spring Holiday Cards for the Easter image.  I purchased the bags from Michaels. I then stuffed them with a variety of candy!  I hope they enjoyed! :)
