Happy Birthday Cupcake Card

I wanted this card to be shimmery!  So I used glitter paper for the cupcake.  I used the Sweet Treats (one of my faves) cartridge for the cupcake.  I used Martha Stewart's Loopy All Around The Page punch for the border.  I made this card in about 15 minutes!
Now I'm off to take care of my sick little boy.  Hope everyone has a great evening! =)

4WD Scrapbook Page

I used the Camp Out cartridge for this layout.  I was going to cut out the 4-wheeler from that cartridge but decided to just cut the 4-wheeler tracks instead.  I was wanting to make this page very simple.  I then too some Thickers that were the wrong color and embossed them with yellow distressed embossing powder.  ENJOY!

Thank You card

I needed to make a Thank You card for a co-worker.  My husband was called into work so I really needed to throw it together FAST!  I had mistakenly cut the "Thank You" too large for a previous card.  Like a good scrapper, I kept it!  So I pulled out my scraps and went to creating!  I had this adorable polka dot ribbon so I "cheater" styled it three times around my white layer.  The punch is the loopy punch from Martha Stewart.  I added the flower for a little feminine touch.  And POOF it was done and I had time to put my son to bed on time!  ENJOY!
Cartridge used: Wild Card (for the "Thank You")

"READ" Scrapbook Page

I love these pictures of my son "reading" to ME!  We have read those books so much that he has them memorized!
I made this very simple and threw it together very quickly!  I did have a 3 year old running around me. =)  I used the Keystone cartridge for the title and Winnie the Pooh cartridge for the book.  ENJOY!

MPS September 11 Challenge

Robyn, My Pink Stamper, issued a challenge for the remembrance of September 11th.  She said to make something honoring people that serve our community.

Well, on February 12, 1996 my amazing father was killed in-in-the-line-of-duty while serving a warrant.  In a blink of an eye my entire world was turned upside down.  Every February 12th, my heart breaks a little in remembrance of that day.
I named my wonderful son after him, and to him my father is "Grandpa".  The hardest and most difficult thing is trying to teach my son how wonderful his Grandpa was and have him get to know him through pictures.  I think the loss of my dad made me into the picture taker and scrapbooker that I am today.

When my son was 5 weeks old we took him to the Peace Officers Memorial ceremony.  I never go to these because they open too many wounds, but I wanted him to witness his Grandpa's name on this wonderful memorial.  I made this page very simple for my son's baby book for him to cherish.

"Hippo-ka-bob-a-bus" Scrapbook Page

My last scrapbook page of the holiday weekend was a special one.

Last week my son (3 1/2) learned how to say "hippopotamus" but instead of saying it correctly, he said "Hippo-ka-bob-a-bus"!  It is so adorable!
I had some of those recordable devices for scrapbook pages, so I recorded him.  Then I took a picture of him heading off to school the next morning.  This is a page I will cherish for ever, and my son will probably kill me when he turns 16.  LOL!

Cartridges used: Create A Critter and Keystone

"Study Buddy" Scrapbook Page

Obviously, I was a VERY busy scrapper this holiday weekend!  I got so much accomplished, but like everyone else, I'm no where near being caught up!

I have returned to college to obtain my Math Teaching Liscense.  When I need to study, my little man always wants to help!  I was able to snap a few pictures during our "study" session! =)
Cartridges used: Locker Talk, Mickey Font, and Pooh and Friends.  I also used the numbers cuttlebug embossing folder to emboss the title.

"Game Night" Scrapbook Page

I don't know about all of you, but my family has "Game Night" often.  Especially during the winter when no one wants to venture out in the cold, yucky weather!

Usually my parents come over and we play until the early morning hours.  For this page, we were playing a (several) game of Spades.  My son ALWAYS wants to join in the fun! =)
Cartridge used: Keystone (for the title)

Princess Card

This card was for a challenge that I didn't make in time. =(  On the bright side, I had a little girl's birthday party to go to the following weekend, so it all worked out. =)

I have a little boy, so princess isn't really in my vocabulary.  LOL! But here we go:
Cartridges used:  Accent Essentials (for the card shape), Create a Critter, and Sweet Treats.
