"Simple Pleasures" Scrapbook Page

I had to take a break from Christmas scrapbooking.  LOL!

My son LOVES helping us with our chores.  We are enjoying it while it lasts!  LOL!  This night, my son wanted to help me change sheets and make the bed.  Naturally, I saw photo opportunities! =)

I cut the title and the title's shadow from the Country Life cartridge.  I then cut the bed, pillow, and blanket from the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge.  I applied "smooch" to the hem of the blanket to make it look like satin.   That was my first time using "smooch" and I don't really know what I think about it yet.  I'll let you know.

Now on to day 3 of being snowed in and SCRAPBOOKING!

"GBH Christmas" Scrapbook Page

I'm beginning to enjoy my snow days but not looking forward to making up the school days in JUNE!

I try to go to my son's pre-school Christmas party every year and snap a few pictures while there.  This year my husband surprised him by show up for the party, too!

For this page I used my new Gingerbread cartridge and the Winnie the Pooh Fonts cartridge.  I then used my Gypsy to weld the letters to the Gingerbread designs.

I thought it turned out cute, but I have to say, I'm kind of tired of scrapping Christmas pictures!

Sweet Memories Scrapbook Page

In our house, visiting Santa is a HUGE event!  Usually my parents and in-laws come along and we see all the lighting displays at our local garden and usually run into Santa while there.

I don't think I used the cricut for this page, but I was on a roll with the embellishments!

Let me explain why "Mommy" is sitting on Santa's lap.  This year, my son decided that he didn't want to sit on Santa's lap once it became his turn.  He has never had a problem with this in the past, and it's the same Santa every year.  Luckily "Mommy" actually knows "this" Santa and he said I could sit on his lap.  That's all my son needed to see!  UP in my lap he came.  So, I told my husband to start snapping pictures!  My son peeked around me to tell  Santa that he wanted a guitar for Christmas!  LOL!  It's a "Sweet Memory" that we will cherish!

Christmas Lights Scrapbook Page

Well, on day 2 of being snowed in, I decided to catch up on some scrapbooking.

I took a tip from Robyn's My Pink Stamper Cricut Layouts DVD and cut and glittered the string of Christmas lights from the Create A Critter cartridge.  Thanks, Robyn, I LOVE that DVD!  I cut the title from the Mickey Font cartridge.

I LOVE how these pages turned out!

Baby Shower Invitation & Matching Thank You Note

A dear friend of mine is pregnant with her second child, another girl!  I am so honored to be throwing her a baby shower in February.  She is decorating the room in hot pink and zebra prints!  Like her other daughter, the baby's name will start with a B. So that got my creative juices flowing.

Being a crafter, I couldn't possibly go buy pre-made invitations! (gasp at the thought) LOL!  So since we have been snowed in this week, I went to crafting!

I wanted to make them simple for mass production.  They are 4 1/4  x 5 1/2 so they will fit in an A2 sized envelope.  I cut the circle and scallop circle using Mini Monograms cricut cartridge.  The B was cut from the Hello Kitty Font cartridge.

For the thank you card, I made it for an A2 sized envelope, too.  I used the same circle and scalloped circle along with the same B from the invite.

The mommy-to-be (again) LOVES them!  I found matching treat boxes and once I add some ribbon to the handles I'll post pictures, too.

Thanksgiving 2010 Scrapbook Page

I never take pictures on Thanksgiving.  I don't know why because I always have a camera on me, but this year I made it a point to grab a few shots.

I cut the title leaf, turkey, and pilgrim hat from the Celebrate With Flourish Cricut lite cartridge.  The turkey was cut at 2.5".

I cut the pilgrim hat at 2.75".  I thought this two page layout turned out fabulous!

Hope everyone has a great evening!

My Pink Stamper Design Team 2011 Challenge

It's time for My Pink Stamper Design Team submissions.  This time Robyn made it a challenge!
The challenge: Make a card, scrapbook page, or other cricut project with your favorite cartridge using Robyn's favorite colors...Pink, Green, and Brown.

Here are the supplies I used for my card:

I loaned my Accent Essentials and Create A Critter cartridges to a friend but luckily I had linked them to my Gypsy!

Recipe:

Pink and Brown cardstock from Michaels
Patterned paper from The Paper Studio's Sweet Pea stack from Hobby Lobby
Celebrate It Sheer Creations ribbon from Michaels
My Pink Stamper Even More Punny-licious stamp set
Create A Critter cartridge
Accent Essentials cartridge

I cut the brown accent from the Accent Essentials cartridge at 3.75"
I cut the elephant from the Create A Critter cartridge at 2.75"

The card base is 5.5" wide x 4.25" high, a typical A2 sized card.

I hope everyone likes my card.  Feel free to leave me a comment.  Good luck to everyone that has entered Robyn's challenge!
