MPS Winter Challenge

Robyn, My Pink Stamper, issued a challenge this weekend to make some that reminds you of winter.  Personally, I can't wait until FALL!  Anyway, when I think of Winter, I think of hot chocolate.  Mmmmm...
For the scalloped inside layer, I used the Accent Essentials cartridge.  I embossed the top layer using my cuttlebug.  For the mug, I used the Gypsy Wanderings cartridge.  Finally, for the saying - "Coco Warms The Soul" - I used the Gypsy Font cartridge.

Thanks, Robyn for offering this challenge.  Hope everyone enjoys!

My sweet, sweet husband surprised me with my very own Gypsy!
It's a LATE Mother's Day gift, but better late than never!  He got a SUPER deal on it and I'm sssoooo excited!  We went on a mini-vacation this past weekend and I couldn't put it down!  I'm very excited about creating everything I designed on vacation.  Stay tuned...

"Pre-Op" Scrapbook Page

Here's a shocker, I did NOT use my Cricut for this page!!!  I wanted to make this "Pre-Op" page to be very simple in preparation for the Post-Op and helicopter tour pages to come to be special and exciting. =)  I'm so happy that my husband had his blackberry in the Pre-Op room so I could capture this precious photos before my son's surgery.

Check back for more pages to come!  I only have two weeks left before school starts and I return to work, so I better get to scrapping! =)

"Splash" Scrapbook Page

For this page, I took inspiration from the Bug Junkie's "Oceans of Fun" layout.  I used the "Life's A Beach" cartridge and the "Create A Critter" cartridge for this two-page spread.

The blingy water bubbles cam from Michaels.  This was the first page I used my new ATG gun and I am officially IN LOVE with it!  I thoroughly enjoyed making this page!  Enjoy! =)

Shaved Ice Scrapbook Page

My son LOVES shaved ice!!  After a day of playing putt-putt and go-kart riding with friends, we stopped for some shaved ice!  It was yummy and he was a clown!  I used my new Cricut Lite cartridge Carousel.  I noticed, after I was done, that I had the real dial size button on, but the cones lined up pretty well!  I LOVE this cartridge!!  I think it may have become one of my favorites! =)

Helicopter Thank You!

My son had surgery in June and right outside his hospital room window was the helicopter pad. He was very insistent on flying the helicopter! Since he couldn't sit in the helicopter I thought I would go buy him a replica in the gift shop. Unfortunately, they didn't have one! The lady in the gift shop heard my story and picked up the phone. She asked me his name and room number. A few minutes later the flight crew showed up in his room!!! Better yet, they took him to the helicopter! He was allowed to sit in every seat, tour the control center, try on the helmets, and talk on the radio! So, I made this card as a thank you to the crew because they were so wonderful with him! I also sent them pictures of the tour. They made a bummer experience FABULOUS!! =) I cut the Thank you from the Wild Card cartridge.

Beach Party Treat Bag

Every Friday, my son's school has a Beach Party! For their first party, which included a show and tell, I made treat bags (of course). For the show and tell portion of the day, my son stood up and talked about making these treat bags with mommy and then he discussed, and demonstrated, his fishing pole! LOL! Gotta love little boys!
