Horseshoe card

It's been so long since I made this card, August, that I forgot the size of the horseshoe and the cartridge I used!


The little boy was having a western party so I went with the western theme on the card.  I'm thinking I used Paper Doll Dress Up for the cartridge, but I could be wrong.  I used My Pink Stamper stamps for the sentiment.

Sock Monkey Card

Time for me to seriously catch up!  I've fallen way behind!  My life has been super busy the past 6 months, but it's starting to slow down...


I used B is for Boy cartridge to cut this adorable sock monkey.  I made it for a friend's baby shower. Since she was having a girl, who has since been born, I changed the color of the monkey's hat and heart.  I used red Smooch on the monkey's mouth. She loved it!

Happy Birthday

I woke up early one morning and realized that I hadn't made a birthday card for a potluck at work that same day.  So off to the scraproom I go!  At 6:00 in the morning I came up with this:

I couldn't make too much noise since my son was still asleep in the next room.  So this was a cricut-free card! =)

Get Well Pirate Card

My grandmother had cataracts removed this week.  Her and I are very close, but not near as close as her and my son.  I love that she is well enough to establish such a wonderful relationship with him!


I came home and told him that "Double G" (he calls her that for Great-Grandma) had to wear a patch over her eye for a couple of days.  He's loving pirates right now, so he thought this was really cool!  I thought I would make her a pirate card and have him give it to her.

I used 3 Birds on Parade cartridge, and cut the pirate bird at 4 1/4".  I then added stickles to his little bit of hair.  She LOVED it and my son thought it was awesome!  It brought a smile on her face, so mission accomplished!

Deepest Sympathy Card

A co-worker of my husband lost her mother this week.  He asked me to make her a sympathy card, so of course I did.

I used one of my favorite cartridges, Cindy Loo, and cut the bird at 3 1/4".  I thought it turned out super cute!  I hope it brought her a little piece of comfort to know our family is keeping her and her family in our thoughts and prayers.

"Dad's Office" Scrapbook Page

Our son loves to go to his Daddy's office!  When we were there this time, he made a mess playing with the receipt tape on Daddy's adding machine. (there's a picture of my husband cleaning it up on the page) That made my creative juices start their engines!


I decided to take some white ribbon and "re-create" the messy tape look around the page.

No cricut was used.  I found some letters that matched the grid lines on the background paper.  I wanted to make sure the ribbon was woven within the title...

I then let the "tape" continue around the pictures until it ran off the page.

I thought it turned out fabulous and SO outside my box of thinking! I'm pretty proud of how it turned out. =)

Happy Birthday Card

I needed a birthday card for one of my son's friends.  They are in Karate together.  I kept thinking of the dragon patch on his "ghee" (karate uniform).  This boy is a few belts above my son, and he looks up to him like a big brother.  If it wasn't for this boy, my son wouldn't be as good and advanced as he is now.


Enough bragging, onto the card...

I found this dragon on the Pagoda cartridge.  I cut it at 4".  They LOVED the card.  Since the party was held at the Karate studio, then the theme fit.  =)


Last bragging moment...


Here's a picture of my son from the party.  He was the littlest on there (he's 4) and he successfully performed a running side kick into the hanging bag.  He was so proud of himself and so was the instructor.  He finally earned a spot on the "bragging wall" at the studio with this picture.  Proud Mommy, here! =)
